Dredge mtg, edh1/2/2024 Those option from the graveyard a big part of what makes decks like these feel like a real dredge deck. I like anything you can cast from the grave, stuff like Demonic Embrace, Corpse Connoisseur, Rotting Rats, even something like Maximize Velocity isnt totally bad as it discards. Going 5 color you would get Unburial Rites and Sevinnes Reclamation targeting Animate/Dance of the Dead as more "prized amalgam" type ways to get threats on the battlefield using nothing but your graveyard. And Lord of Extinction + Berserk can always win some games. It's also as broken as a mechanic as it is complicated, and for this reason, the deck has many ways to exploit it, mainly via our main combo enabler: Dakmor Salvage. It's not going to ever be "competitive" with only combat damage to win but it feels like dredge. No wonder, as Dredge is one of the most complicated mechanics Wizards has ever printed on a Magic card. Since classic dredge threats like Prized Amalgam and Ichorid are just not going to get there in commander the cards that get big like Lord of Extinction and Sewer Nemesis and the cards you can get from the grave like Hogaak, Centaur Vinecrasher, Dread Return etc do a good job of replicating the playstyle. I love dredge and tried to replicate the playstyle as best I could. If you want to provide feedback on Brewer's Corner lists, you can use the feedback form found in the changelog channel on our Discord server and linked below. This is my dredge list with the 4 color non white nephilim as commander. We'll look into how well the decks are maintained and perform, and how frequently they're played after the initial hype. We will still have general power level guidelines (for example, it will be hard to admit Isamaru despite how optimized a list might be), but they are less strict than our guidelines for older commanders.Įach review cycle, the managers and the reviewers revisit the entries in the Brewer's Corner. In terms of deck evaluation, we will mostly be concerned with optimizing the commander, rather than comparing them to existing entries. New entries that do not fit under any of the existing ones will go into the Brewer's Corner. The Brewer's Corner is a solution for many of these concerns. While we'd like to see these new commanders represented, many lists aren't maintained after the initial hype period. EDH is increasing in popularity and a lot of people want to play with new commanders.
